I was given the prompt to take an existing book and re-create the cover in a new light. I chose a book from one of my favorite authors, James Dashner. I created a maze icon and four elements from the book to gain attention from the viewer. Then I added in the text and chose some typical book fonts for the front so the illustrations would remain the focus. The inside covers and back I used the tight bold font that fits with the book in creating this feeling of being trapped. I then added in little details like the printing company and barcode to give it a realistic look. I created the press logo from a personal logo design I created for myself.
